Emergency Manager Plugins (Pro & MU)
Our site uses Emergency Manager plugins to help restore or manage administrator privileges, roles, and critical settings in WordPress. These plugins also include license verification functionality that communicates with our servers.
1. No Direct Collection of Personal Data
• The Emergency Manager plugins do not collect, store, or transmit visitors’ personal information outside of your WordPress installation. They operate entirely within the site’s admin area to restore or manage administrative access.
2. User Role Adjustments
• In the course of recovering site access, the plugins may modify existing user roles (e.g., elevating a user to “Administrator”). This uses WordPress’s built-in user management features and does not expose user information to third parties.
3. License Verification & Domain Tracking
• When you activate or update an Emergency Manager license, the plugin sends your license key and domain information (the site URL) to our license server.
• This data is used solely to validate the license tier (1 website, 5 websites, or unlimited) and track the number of domains using that license.
• No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent during license checks.
4. Data Retention & Storage
• We store your license key and associated domain list on our secure server only for as long as your license remains active.
• Standard WordPress logs or server logs may record actions taken within the plugin (e.g., date/time of role changes). We do not use these logs for marketing or profiling.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Compliance)
• Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): We process license data to prevent unauthorized use and ensure proper access to software updates.
• Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): If you purchase a license, we must process the license key to provide continued access to the software.
6. Your Rights Under GDPR
Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to:
• Access your data (see what data we store).
• Request corrections (if any stored data is incorrect).
• Request deletion (remove your license from our system).
• Object to processing (if you believe we are unlawfully storing your data).
If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact us.
7. No External Data Transfers
• Aside from the license key and domain info, the plugin does not send any other data to external services.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer license data to third parties. It is used exclusively for licensing functionality and software updates.
8. Security Measures
• We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your license key and domain data on our servers.
• Only authorized personnel can view or modify this information to handle support or licensing requests.
